Quando quiser descobrir quem fez algo, use who. Who did you see there? (Quem você viu lá?) Agora, use “whose” para perguntar de quem é algo: Whose blouse is this? (De quem é essa blusa?)
Quando conectamos duas orações, a informação que é incluída pode ser como pode não ser essencial para o sentido da frase. Em inglês americano, com esse dado, você sabe se deve usar “that” ou “which”. Veja os exemplos: All my personal documents, which were in the suitcase, were stolen.
É muito simples: why é usado, no inglês, da mesma forma como por que é usado no português, ou seja, no início de perguntas. No caso de because, o uso pode ser comparado ao de porque na língua portuguesa. Ao contrário do que ocorre com why, because é utilizado em respostas (assim como acontece com porque em português).

The hills surrounding the current location of Como were inhabited, since at least the Bronze Age, by a Celtic tribe known as the Orobii. Remains of settlements are still present on the wood-covered hills to the southwest of town. Around the 1st century BC, the territory became subject to the Romans.
Subsequently, the history of Como followed that of the Duchy of Milan, through the French invasion and the Spanish domination, until 1714, when the territory was taken by the Austrians. Napoleon descended into Lombardy in 1796 and ruled it until 1815, when the Austrian rule was resumed after the Congress of Vienna.
